![]() So that tells me my extra rpm from only a tcm change is worth about. ![]() So my 14.33 run looks like this at sea level which corrects to 14.03 at 100.91 mph, I made a change in my tcm to increase rpm shift points from 6100 to 64, my last outing few weeks ago the weather was so much warmer and DA was much higher 3400 ft and I ran a 98.64 mph ( for those who don't keep track would think they slowed down or it didn't help) and that corrects to 13.88 102.81 mph. ![]() Now I have ran a best of 14.33 at 98.81 mph in 1800 ft DA- those are real numbers from the same track and same weather conditions.īut some times you have to use corrected numbers to sea level to see gains or losses. when my car was new the first few outing even with perfect weather conditions ~ 1800 ft DA for this track and perfect traction, my car ran low 15's at 93 mph. I am doing it with parts others can bolt on. over 8 tenths and have picked up over 6 mph thru the traps in comparable DA of less then 100 ft from each run. Im still running a 91 can tune in my car and have done some mods on mine and from new to now I have reduced my e.t. Now I am going to get off track there are other things you can do, I only bought a tuner so I can change gears and since I had the tuner I just installed the 91 can tune and left it at that while I worked on other mods and testing. So really to make it worth it, you would have to buy the computer and tuner then get a custom tune to see a change I guess just from a tune. with a can tune over stock tune as far as I remember. 35 second quicker with a custom tune over the can tune, of course he was no better in e.t. Other than that, it was a total waste of money, for me.Ī fellow on another site did a back to back test of either 91 can tune or 93 can tune from diablo verses custom tune. The only benefit I get for the money was better gas mileage with the 87 octane I never use it, it's not as "fun" as I thought Then putting the replacement TCM back in to retain the gear ratio, but withĪ stock tune, then I can sell it. I plan on putting the original TCM back in, umarrying the tuner, and It, not accounting for a whole second of loss of throttle before shifting. One of those closer calls that should have only been a close call. Second then shifted, it was WAY too close, and I just made it. To pass for oncoming traffic, but when it backed off the throttle for a FULL I went to pass a SEMI in Virginia yes, the timing was done close When I am WOT, there is still a whole second of throttle back off before Other than that, I would have returned it. Might do some, but still not what I was looking for. Wanted it for was to eliminate torque management nope.
